Viburnum Lentago - Nannyberry
This native plant is a very shade tolerant member of the Viburnum family. Nannyberry is usually a multi-trunked plant reaching as tall as 15'. However occassionaly it may be found as a small single stemmed tree. Plant has an arching habit not unlike Nudum and Cassinoides. Fall color is a good mix of yellows, orange and red. White flat topped flowers in late Spring give way to clusters of green maturing to blue- black fruit. Good plant for difficult sites.
